Field Support Technician
at Purple Cow Internet, you will play a critical role in installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and fiber-optic systems, ensuring customers receive exceptional service.
In order to fulfill the tasks at hand, you'll need to be highly experienced with this entire stack:
Installation & Maintenance
Install and configure fiber-optic systems, equipment, and other telecommunications devices for customers, ensuring high standards for quality and accuracy.
Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of existing systems, addressing and resolving issues efficiently.
Customer Service Excellence
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing technical concerns and questions, offering clear explanations and ensuring complete satisfaction.
Troubleshoot and repair network issues as needed, delivering solutions that enhance the customer experience.
Collaboration & Team Support
Work closely with the Field Support Lead and other team members to ensure smooth field operations and high-quality service delivery.
Share knowledge and troubleshooting techniques with colleagues to improve team efficiency and skills.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure that all installations and repairs comply with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Strive to meet or exceed customer expectations with each interaction, ensuring quality work and attention to detail.
Documentation & Reporting
Accurately document all installations, repairs, and customer interactions to contribute to ongoing learning and process improvement.
Maintain detailed records of equipment and service logs to ensure proper tracking of operations.

What We're Looking For:
Experience:
Proven experience with fiber-optic technology, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of telecommunications systems and hands-on experience with routers, modems, switches, and other related equipment.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and find effective solutions quickly and independently.
Customer Service:
Excellent communication skills with a strong customer-first approach.
Safety Awareness:
Familiarity with industry safety standards and procedures to ensure safe and compliant work practices.
Collaboration:
A team player who is eager to share knowledge and work alongside others to achieve operational success.
Valid Driver's License:
Willingness to travel locally to customer sites.
