Field Service Technician - Scale AQ North America,

Saint John, NB

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join the ScaleAQ North American team based in Saint John, NB.

Your duties and responsibilities would be to:

Troubleshoot, repair and install electronic equipment and mechanical systems including antennas, cameras, computers and related equipment Troubleshoot software related issues Provide technical support and training to customers Prepare technical documents Maintain professional and technical requirements for the position and contribute to the company ethos of continuous learning and development Work in the field up to 80% of your working week Provide on-call support on weekends and statutory holidays on a rotational basis Continuously adhere to safe work practices and maintaining a safe work environment on farm (sea-based) sites and in our Scale AQ workshops Perform related duties as required

The qualifications, training and experience required are:

Essential

Trade or related training in industrial electrical, mechanical or engineering with an aptitude for IT/computer operating systems An ability and willingness to work productively and safely in a challenging marine environment The technical competence to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics To be motivated to work alone or as part of a team The capability to perform troubleshooting procedures An ability and willingness to work in other Provinces and the United States A valid drivers license [Class 5]

Desirable

Two years related experience or an equivalent combination of networking, software, mechanical and electrical system Working knowledge of both LAN and WLAN protocols A Pleasure Craft Operator Card, or other qualification as required Knowledge of motor control circuits for FVNR, FVR and VFD
