As a Field Service Technician, you will represent Papertech as the on-site expert visiting paper mills providing onsite support to our clients and facilitate the assessment, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of their high-speed camera monitoring and inspection system. You will work with a small team or remotely supported to service, troubleshoot, repair and install camera vision systems for paper machines production lines. Your goal is to optimize the efficiency of the systems within the facilities and make recommendations on system improvements.
Beyond having good technical knowledge, we are looking for team members who can communicate effectively, understand the client's problem and explain its solution.
Workplace Type
Hybrid (employees work on-site and off-site) 75% travelling (maximum).

Job Responsibilities and Duties
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues Provide service and customer support during field visits Familiarity with IT principles and computer network configuration Basic electrical troubleshoot knowledge Hands-on problem-solving and troubleshooting is essential Produce timely and detailed service reports Determine customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations Capacity to build confidence with paper mill operators
Required Skills and Qualifications
Field experience (3 - 5 years) in mechanical/electrical maintenance Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, CCD cameras and machine vision an asset?(Training provided) Working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, etc Class 5 driving license and fluency in English (French is an asset) Able to travel within Canada and to the United States
