Job Description

At Swisslog Healthcare, our Field Service Technicians are critical to our customer care and support initiatives. Our technicians are on the front-line, interfacing with our customers on a daily basis, keeping their systems up and running, ensuring optimal system performance, and improving patient safety, which in turn allows doctors and nurses to focus on critical patient care in hospitals across North America. Field Service Engineers perform all Customer Support duties and responsibilities relating to Swisslog Healthcare products (Transport Automation and Pharmacy Automation), including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, warranty service, emergency service, on-call service, start-up of current systems, operator maintenance and user training, and promotion of company products and services as required. This position, located in Trois Riviere, Quebec, will focus on our Pharmacy Automation (Medication Management) solutions. Les ingenieurs de service sur le terrain assument toutes les taches et responsabilites liees au service a la clientele pour les produits Swisslog Healthcare (automatisation du transport et automatisation des pharmacies), y compris la maintenance preventive, la maintenance corrective, le service de garantie, le service d'urgence, le service de garde, la mise en service des systemes actuels, la maintenance par l'operateur et la formation des utilisateurs, ainsi que la promotion des produits et services de l'entreprise, selon les besoins. Ce poste, base a Trois-Rivieres, au Quebec, sera axe sur nos solutions d'automatisation des pharmacies (gestion des medicaments).

Make an impact

Perform all Customer Support Duties and Responsibilities relating to SLHC Pharmacy Automation Systems including:
Provide scheduled preventive maintenance services, as well as corrective, 24/7 emergency, and paid services to customers in assigned area. Assist with start-up services on new products as required. Report product quality issues to senior technician and/or manager, and file quality reports as directed/required. Promote and assist with parts orders, provide recommended parts lists to clients and recommend inventory stocking levels to customers as required. Train customers, and conduct periodic visits to monitor product performance and customer satisfaction. Ensure that required administrative paperwork, Service Work Orders, Expense Reports and Downtime Reports, and start-up logs are properly filled out and processed in a timely manner. Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times when working with customers. Adhere to and strictly enforce all company safety policies and procedures. Attend required training programs to keep current on system updates. Position may require some travel as well as holiday and weekend work. Extensive on-call is also required year-round (24/7/365).

Assurer des services de maintenance preventive planifies, des services correctifs a la demande, des services d'urgence 24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7, et des services payants aux clients de la zone assignee. Aider a la mise en service des nouveaux produits Swisslog Healthcare, selon les besoins. Signaler les problemes de qualite des produits a l'ingenieur senior et/ou au responsable, et remplir les rapports de qualite selon les instructions. Promouvoir et faciliter les commandes de pieces detachees, fournir des listes de pieces recommandees aux clients et recommender des niveaux de stock aux clients, selon les besoins. Former les clients, et effectuer des visites periodiques de service a la clientele afin de controler les performances des produits et la satisfaction des clients. S'assurer que les documents administratifs requis, les bons de travail, les rapports de depenses et les rapports d'indisponibilite, ainsi que les journaux de demarrage sont correctement remplis et traites en temps opportun. Une tenue correcte est exigee pour tous les contacts clients. Respecter et appliquer strictement toutes les politiques et procedures de securite de l'entreprise. Participer aux programmes de formation obligatoires afin de se tenir informe des mises a jour du systeme.Le poste peut necessiter certains deplacements ainsi que du travail pendant les jours feries et les week-ends. Une disponibilite importante est egalement requise tout au long de l'annee (24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7, 365 jours par an). #

What you need to succeed
Vocational school, related military experience, or job experience equivalent. 1-3 years field service experience with electro-mechanical products. Successful candidates will have an effective communication style that builds customers' trust and satisfaction. Ability to read blue prints, schematics and wiring diagrams to extract necessary technical information. Exceptional interpersonal skills (customer service skills) and communication skills. PC software and hardware literate / Windows Application experience. Basic computer networking skills. Must be a self-starter, well organized, and be able to work independently without supervision.
Desirable, but not Essential:
Experience working in a mission-critical, on-call environment is desirable. Associate's Degree from a Technical or Vocational School preferred.
Eligibility Requirements:
MUST reside in Quebec, Canada, and be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship. Ability and willingness to travel 30 to 70% of the time for technical support and training purposes. Ability and willingness to work on-call hours including weekend, night, and/or holiday work. Ability and willingness to lift, lower and carry objects up to 50 lbs., work from heights, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Must have a valid driver's license and excellent driving record. Must be fluent in both English and French.

Souhaitable, mais non essentiel :o Une experience de travail dans un environnement critique et disponible sur appel est souhaitable.o Diplome d'associe d'une ecole technique ou professionnelle prefere. Conditions d'eligibilite :o DOIT resider au Canada et etre legalement autorise a travailler au Canada, sans parrainage.o Possibilite de voyager 30 a 70 % du temps a des fins d'assistance technique et de formation.o Possibilite de travailler sur appel, y compris le week-end, la nuit et/ou les jours feries.oCapacite au port de charges, possibilite de soulever, abaisser et de transporter des objets pesant jusqu'a 50 livres, de travailler en hauteur, de monter a l'echelle et de travailler dans des espaces confines.o Permis de conduire valide et excellent dossier de conduite.o Doit parler couramment le francais et l'anglais.

Compensation: Starting salary is CAD $55,000 to $68,000, depending on experience and skill set; plus overtime and on-call pay, plus tuition reimbursement.
