About the Role



Spatial Technologies is seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician to join our team.

This role involves the in-house and on-site repair, troubleshooting, installation, and support of advanced machine control and positioning systems. These machine control systems consist of electronic, mechanical and hydraulic components installed on dozers, graders, excavators and skid steers. These duties may be performed in the field or in a workshop environment

The successful candidate will also provide technical service and training to our clients and their operators. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic, hands-on environment, and requires occasional travel and fieldwork under varying conditions. Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities



Install and calibrate machine control systems on heavy equipment (dozers, graders, excavators, skid steers). Troubleshoot and repair electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic system components. Support customers on-site and in-house, including training operators and technicians. Interpret construction plans and survey data to ensure accurate system setup. Maintain detailed service records and ensure safe, organized work practices. Collaborate with internal teams to support sales, demos, and customer success.

Qualifications



Experience with machine control systems or construction survey experience would be an asset. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills in field and workshop environments. Familiarity with construction sites & heavy equipment, would be an asset. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Comfortable working independently, outdoors, with occasional travel. Proficient with Microsoft Office and machine control software is an asset. Post-secondary education in Construction, Surveying, or related fields is an asset. Valid driver's license required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
