Job Description

SITECH Eastern Canada Ltd. is currently looking for a Field Service Technician to join us at our Burlington location. SITECH Eastern Canada Ltd. is Canada's largest dealership for Trimble construction equipment. Our team at SITECH understands how to apply Trimble technology to effectively solve some of the biggest challenges customers are facing on the construction site. SITECH helps civil engineering and construction customers leverage technology systems for their entire fleet of heavy equipment and survey needs.


This position reports directly to the Service Manager. The following summarizes some key elements of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in safe workplace safety, environmentally sound behaviors and practices at all times in support of SITECH's health and safety policy programs and initiatives; Repair, service and support 2D and 3D heavy construction machine control and guidance systems, paving systems, mobile GPS technologies, payload systems, all components and related software. Provide field installation, system troubleshooting, repairs, and training/support for customers in the field. Provide Timely follow-up and resolution, and remain current on open projects to keep work backlog to a minimum. Manage required service and support related-information, forms and paperwork as directed by management and or in accordance with company policies and procedures. Perform inspections on equipment on job site Ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner Maneuver efficiently and effectively within the region in all traffic situations Provide excellent customer relations in a fast-paced Adaptable to on-call work schedules and willing to work in all weather conditions; Ensure vehicle is maintained and organized Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

An experienced technician, or 3rd/4th year apprentice with the ability to diagnosis, perform failure analysis, and repair all types of construction equipment. Existing knowledge of construction equipment and building products. Hands on experience in the repair and service/maintenance requirements for various types of construction equipment. Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with company and factory standards. Ability to work independently, and in a team atmosphere. Good communication and people skills Strong time management and organizational skills Operate and maintain all shop equipment and ensure a safe, clean & organized shop area All other duties as assigned by the Branch & Service Managers.

Hourly Wage:

$26.00 -$31.00 depending on experience.
