Your Role at Baxter

Baxter Canada is seeking a Field Service Technician II. Reporting to the Montreal area, but expected to travel throughout the region, servicing customers in locations such as hospitals and long-term care facilities. The successful candidate will provide advanced technical service support, troubleshooting, major inspections, and complex repairs for all assigned products throughout the region and elsewhere as may be assigned.

Our Field Service Technician\'s are available for 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts.

What you\'ll be doing

  • Driving and delivery up to 60% of a regular work week on average, including overnight travel.
  • Service Hillrom & Baxter products. These include (Pre-Installation and Preventive Maintenance (PMs), Routine Maintenance (RM\xe2\x80\x99s), troubleshooting and component replacement and minor cosmetic repairs.
  • Deliver and remove product as well as complete functional checks.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships and provide excellent customer service with various levels of internal and external customers.
  • Demonstration to customer on how to use rental products.
  • Used handheld device and Baxter order management system to coordinate customer orders for shipping and delivery
  • Stay up to date and be proactive with safety, health, and quality in compliance with all company, governmental and customer regulations. Operate safely and within guidelines or regulations. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow on-call rotation to provide 24/7 coverage. Exhibit excellent time management skills.
  • The ability to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated experience in providing excellent in-person and telephone customer service

What you\'ll Bring

Required:
  • Diploma or Degree from a Technical, Trade School, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Valid passport & visa for training and meetings to the US
  • Valid driver\'s license with a minimum of three years current, clean drivers\xe2\x80\x99 abstract
Preferred:
  • 3+ years of troubleshooting experience
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to use Teams/Zoom for virtual meetings.
  • Experience or eagerness to learn and safely drive and operate a 5-ton truck about 20-24 feet in size.
