Job Overview




As a Field Service Representative at Anton Paar Canada, you are responsible for providing technical support, installation, maintenance, and repair services for scientific equipment sold by us. This role involves regular travel to customer sites within Western Canada to ensure proper functioning and performance of the equipment. You will work closely with customers, providing training and troubleshooting assistance to ensure optimal utilization of the products.

Core Responsibilities



Install, and test scientific equipment at customer sites. Conduct preventive maintenance and perform repairs on equipment as needed. Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Train customers on the operation, calibration, and maintenance of the equipment. Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, or on-site visits. Maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports and documentation. Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue service contract opportunities. Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, technical advancements, and industry trends. This position requires more than 50% overnight travel within Canada and occasional international travel.

Qualifications



A minimum of 3 years of experience as a service technician. Previous experience in a similar field service role, preferably with scientific instrumentation. Experience with managing and preserving technical equipment. Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, software, and technical documentation. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and travel frequently to customer sites. Ability to lift up to 25Kg regularly or occasionally up to 40kg. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites within the assigned region. Have a valid driver's license. Have the authorization to work in Canada.
