Alcon Canada is seeking a Field Service Engineer who can provide technical guidance to customers, including commissioning, installation, and testing of products and equipment. The Field Service Engineer will support our territory in Quebec.
In this role, you will:Perform corrective and preventive maintenance, make improvements, and carry out system upgrades and installations. Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Respond promptly to customer concerns and resolve issues related to quality assurance and medical safety. Manage the daily schedule while maintaining accurate and timely communication with customers, dispatchers, managers, and regional and cross-functional teams. Complete all administrative responsibilities accurately and on time. Assist the sales team, clinical team, and internal team, including other on-site service representatives, as needed. Manage inventory, maintain accurate records, and promptly return unused and defective parts. Promote and sell maintenance contract offerings to customers and assist the sales team in selling maintenance contracts within the assigned territory, as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:Language: Bilingualism, advanced written and verbal communication in English and French. Minimum Education: Associate degree in electronics or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in technology or engineering (training or experience in IT). Minimum Experience: Strong background in electronics, electricity, and mechanics. Candidate must reside in Quebec, ideally in the greater Montreal area Willingness to work a variable schedule on short notice to meet customer demand. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, SharePoint. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (tools, spare parts, etc.). Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past three years. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven experience in exceptional customer service. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and plan work-related activities. Problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and professional communication in a fast-paced, high-pressure, customer-focused environment. Self-motivated, able to travel and work independently with minimal supervision. Two years of hands-on experience with advanced medical devices and medical lasers. Ability to handle and resolve difficult customer situations. Proven technical support skills and effective decision-making abilities. Previous experience working in a hospital operating room and knowledge of surgical center protocols. Experience connecting medical devices to hospital networks. Working knowledge of ServiceMax/Salesforce. Candidates must be able to work independently (20% of the time) and in the field (80% of the time). Candidates must also be able to travel overnight (50% of the time) or as needed.

A titre de technicien d'entretien, vous devrez :Realiser l'entretien correctif et preventif, apporter des ameliorations et effectuer les mises a niveau et l'installation du systeme. Etablir et maintenir un degre de satisfaction eleve au sein de la clientele. Repondre rapidement aux preoccupations des clients et regler les problemes lies a l'assurance de la qualite et a la securite medicale. Gerer l'horaire quotidien tout en maintenant des communications exactes et opportunes avec les clients, les repartiteurs, les directeurs et les equipes regionales et interfonctionnelles. Assumer toutes les responsabilites administratives en temps opportun et avec exactitude. Aider l'equipe des ventes, l'equipe clinique et l'equipe interne, y compris les autres representants de l'entretien sur place, au besoin. Gerer les stocks, tenir des dossiers precis et retourner rapidement les pieces inutilisees et defectueuses. Promouvoir et vendre les offres de contrats d'entretien aux clients et aider l'equipe de vente a vendre des contrats d'entretien aux clients dans le territoire assigne, au besoin.

CE QUE VOUS APPORTEREZ A ALCON Langue : Bilinguisme, communication ecrite et verbale avancee en anglais et en francais*.
Formation minimale : Diplome d'associe en electronique ou combinaison equivalente de formation et d'experience. Formation souhaitee : Baccalaureat en technologie ou en ingenierie (formation ou experience en TI) Experience minimale : Solide experience en electronique, en electricite et en mecanique. Volonte de travailler selon un horaire variable a court preavis pour repondre a la demande des clients. Capacite a utiliser correctement Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, SharePoint. Capacite a soulever une charge de 50 livres (outils, pieces de rechange, etc.). Etre titulaire d'un permis de conduire valide et dote d'un dossier de bon conducteur depuis les trois dernieres annees. Excellentes aptitudes pour la communication orale et ecrite. Experience averee en service a la clientele exceptionnel. Capacite a entreprendre plusieurs taches a la fois, a etablir des priorites et a planifier des activites liees au travail. Capacite a resoudre des problemes, a penser de facon analytique et a communiquer de facon professionnelle dans un milieu axe sur les clients ou le facteur temps est crucial et la pression elevee. Autonomie, capacite a voyager et a travailler de facon autonome sous supervision minimale. Deux ans d'experience pratique dans le domaine des dispositifs medicaux de pointe et des lasers medicaux. Gestion et resolution de situations difficiles liees aux clients. Competences averees en soutien technique et capacite a prendre des decisions de maniere efficace. Experience de travail prealable dans la salle d'operation d'un hopital et connaissance des protocoles du centre de chirurgie. Experience relative a la connexion des dispositifs medicaux aux reseaux hospitaliers. Connaissance pratique de ServiceMax/Salesforce. Les candidats doivent etre en mesure de travailler de facon autonome (20 % du temps) et sur le terrain (80 % du temps). Les candidats doivent egalement etre en mesure de se deplacer pendant la nuit (50 % du temps) ou au besoin.
