The Broadway Subway Project Corporation (BSPC) is an Acciona-Ghella general partnership to deliver a 5.7 km extension of the Millennium Line, from VCC-Clark Station to Broadway and Arbutus. Position Summary:



Reporting to the Construction Quality Manager, the

Field Quality Coordinator

provides assistance and support to project staff -- including superintendents, site coordinators, subcontractors, and inspectors -- in organizing, documenting, and implementing the project's Quality Assurance activities. This role is integral to the core components of the construction project and the effective application of the Quality Management System's tools and processes. The Field Quality Coordinator conducts reviews and assurance activities through random inspections, testing, and surveillance to verify that subcontractors and construction teams adhere to and meet all contractual quality requirements.

Responsibilities:



Ensures quality requirements compliance, including inspection, testing and installation of complete systems. Assist and review quality documentation, including but not limited to inspection and test plans, inspection checklists, quality records, 3rd party reports etc. and comply with project quality requirements. Prepare and implement inspections / activities on construction site locations per ITPs, with labs, consultants, Engineers and / or stakeholders as required. Ensure construction field inspectors to perform the in-process inspection, monitoring, witness tests, release completed stages as per approved ITPs and project requirements. Cooperate with superintendents, coordinators and construction management to report quality compliance based on testing and inspection reports. Support the construction roles in the performance of subcontractor's quality control. Manage consultants and third-party notifications, ensuring they are present for critical inspection activities such as hold points defined within ITPs. Assure the construction inspection and testing activities are performed, maintain the quality traceability system, final product deliveries are received on time, and documentation is complete for turnover purposes. Verify, monitor and maintain calibration records properly to confirm the reliability of all measuring instruments and equipment. Communicate inspection findings for self-performed and subcontracted work, evaluate inspection reports highlight issues or action items. Monitor and enforce punch list completion and resolve all open items in a timely matter. Identify and report non-compliant Construction Work and supplied product when discovered, and review/ monitor disposition of Non-Compliances with the company quality standards and the project quality plan. Carry out Quality reviews for the construction work packs closeouts ensuring inspection and testing activities are executed and the result is ready for turnover. Coordinate with welding, concrete testing, non-destructive test (NDT), and welder's qualification activities. Assist, participate and cooperate in all the internal/external audits if required. Collect documentation, coordinate test pack preparation and final turnover documentation activities to comply with contractual documentation and ensure a smooth handover.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



Excellent organizational and coordination skills. Strong organization, time management, and detail oriented. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Passion for quality, with the ability to motivate the teams, enforce and comply with quality requirements. Knowledge and experience with CSA A23.1/A23.3/A23.4/G-30.18-09/W47.1/W59-18/ and other relevant Canadian specifications. Team player with the ability to meet deadlines, targets and objectives.

Experience / Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in engineering or acceptable combination education and or experience.

Direct experience in buildings construction, architectural / electrical finishes is preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality development on infrastructure projects.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
