The Opportunity:Company, Department: NS Power, Energy Delivery Capital ManagementLocation: Sydney, NSClosing Date: April 3, 2025The Field Projects Lead is accountable for the development of the transmission line capital program, and the provision of technical and field support for the execution of capital projects. Key elements of this role include::

  • Use reliability analysis and transmission line performance to identify and prioritize investments for the transmission line capital and maintenance programs.
  • Oversee transmission contract resources to ensure the safe and effective completion of Nova Scotia Powerxe2x80x99s transmission line capital projects.
  • Provide on-site project management for assigned projects, including participating in start-up meetings, change order approvals, post completion audits.
  • Maintain transmission inspection database and develop Work Orders.
  • Ensure the safe and effective completion of emergency and reactive maintenance work on Nova Scotia Powerxe2x80x99s Transmission System.
  • Participate in the Transmission Line Coordinator standby rotation and provide restoration response during transmission line interruptions, including helicopter patrols of transmission lines.
You will be responsible for personal safety, that of co-workers, and those under your direction by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations. You will be accountable for environmental performance as it relates to the environment management system processes and initiatives.
