Position Overview



The Field Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Mountain Cleaning's field team, ensuring high-quality service delivery, team development, and strong client relationships. This role bridges the gap between office and field operations, supporting cleaners through hands-on coaching, regular communication, and proactive problem-solving to maintain MCC's standards of excellence.



Key Responsibilities



Team Leadership & Development



Provide ongoing coaching, training, and mentorship to cleaning technicians to ensure consistent quality, professionalism, and engagement. Conduct regular site visits and quality checks to monitor performance, provide feedback, and identify areas for improvement. Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new staff -- setting them up for success with the right training, tools, and expectations. Hold monthly one-on-one meetings with field staff to review performance, set goals, and encourage professional growth. Support offboarding for departing employees to ensure smooth transitions and proper equipment return. Issue verbal and written warnings as necessary, maintaining consistent and fair documentation. Maintain a continuous feedback loop between office and field teams to ensure open communication and alignment.

Operations & Quality Assurance



Oversee daily field operations, including work allocation, schedule monitoring, and resolution of conflicts or inefficiencies. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify cleaning quality and adherence to company and client standards. Provide emergency field coverage or assist with cleaning tasks when required to maintain service continuity. Manage and document staff performance, incidents, and corrective actions with accuracy and professionalism. Communicate with clients regarding feedback, service quality, and requests, ensuring timely and professional follow-up. Collaborate with the administrative team to develop and implement improved processes and procedures.

Equipment, Inventory & Supplies



Manage inventory of cleaning products and equipment, ensuring safe storage, proper handling, and compliance with health and safety standards. Monitor equipment condition, organize repairs or replacements, and verify all tools are in safe working order. Research and source high-quality, cost-effective products and equipment for the company. Coordinate equipment pickups, deliveries, and supply purchasing as needed.

Health, Safety & Compliance



Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and provincial Health & Safety regulations. Document and report all incidents promptly, conducting follow-up actions to prevent recurrence. Enforce safe storage and handling procedures for all chemicals and equipment. Promote a safety-first culture across the field team.

Communication & Administration



Maintain open, professional communication between office staff, field employees, and clients. Actively monitor communication platforms to provide real-time support and assistance to field staff. Prepare weekly written reports summarizing site performance, challenges, and upcoming priorities. Participate in regular management meetings and contribute to ongoing company initiatives.

Vehicle Use



This position requires the use of a personal vehicle for travel between job sites. Mileage will be reimbursed as per provincial standards.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the cleaning, facilities, or service industry. Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Solid knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment. Valid driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle. Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and handle multiple priorities effectively. Ability to problem solve and boost team morale while maintaining a positive attitude

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
