Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer with a class 5 license to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing labor related to parking lot/street maintenance and repairs, snow clearing (in the winter), construction and excavation projects. Additionally you will be responsible for hauling and driving duties including hauling material and transporting equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks that support construction and maintenance operations. They will possess familiarity with equipment such as snow blowers, backpack blowers, pickup trucks, hauling trailers, using hand tool sand heavy lifting. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of projects while ensuring safety and efficiency on the job site.

Responsibilities



Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment. Sweeping/cleaning parking lots, installing drive ways, grading gravel pads, excavation, demolition. Perform general labor tasks including digging, lifting, and moving materials as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Follow instructions from supervisors and adhere to safety protocols at all times. Operate basic hand tools and equipment including: backpack blowers, masonry saws, compactors; safely and effectively. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications.

Requirements:



Has experience operating equipment (i.e. back-pack blowers and shovels). Finds it rewarding working within a team to accomplish a common goal. Is task-oriented and dependable. Valid Class 5 License Eligibility to work in Canada without restrictions. Clear driver's abstract with no at-fault accidents in the last year. Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments. Available to work various shifts and overtime as needed. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. Attention to detail and commitment to following safety regulations.

Experience



Previous experience in labor or construction-related roles is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 80 pounds). Familiarity with basic hand tools and safety procedures in a labor environment is a plus. Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality are essential for success in this role.
