We're currently looking for a

Materials Testing (Field & Laboratory) Technician

to join our team based in Vancouver.

Key Objectives for This Role:

Conduct in-field materials testing and engineering reviews on active construction sites Perform in-lab soil testing following standard procedures Prepare accurate and concise reports using Microsoft Word and Excel Work closely with the company's engineering staff, management team, clients, and contractors Travel regularly throughout the Lower Mainland region to support project needs Work flexible hours as required--some early mornings or late days may be necessary depending on construction site schedules Lift and carry equipment and samples weighing around 45-50 lbs as part of routine work
The successful applicant will possess the following attributes:

A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or another degree in a science-related field (like Materials Testing) Valid driver's license and a personal vehicle CCIL Aggregate Certification is preferred (but not required) Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills A professional and proactive attitude when working with colleagues, clients, and contractors
