Overview

Do you enjoy multi-tasking, working as part of a supportive team and providing excellent customer service? We're looking for a field investigations assistant to perform a variety of administrative support functions, including preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations; receiving and responding to inquiries; disclosing file information appropriately; and performing data entry. If you enjoy providing exceptional administrative support and working with a supportive and collaborative team, consider joining us for this temporary opportunity of approximately one year at our head office in Richmond.

This position is required to work full-time onsite at the Richmond office.

What you'll do

As a field investigations assistant you will:

  • Receive and triage complaints from external callers on the tipline regarding potential fraud
  • Assign internal staff referrals and requests
  • Maintain internal databases
  • Maintain and update Field Investigations information systems
  • Ensure appropriate disclosure of information
  • Scan reports for filing
  • Perform word processing related activities
  • Assist with travel arrangements for staff
  • Assist with special projects
  • Maintain and update departmental spreadsheets

We're looking for someone who can:
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accurately handle concurrent activities
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Work as a member of a team by proactively assisting, supporting, and cooperating with team members
  • Independently plan and prioritize to meet deadlines in a high-volume, multi-tasking environment
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes; recommend solutions and refer issues as appropriate
  • Demonstrate the ability to transcribe verbal recordings
  • Demonstrate excellent reading comprehension and verbal communication skills
Your experience and educational background:
  • Completion of Grade 12
  • Recent related experience providing administrative support
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word
