Field Installations Manager, Doors & Hardware
position. This is an onsite position in our Port Coquitlam location, but also require to travel to different job sites in BC.
WHAT'S THE JOB ABOUT?
Reporting to the Director of Installations, the Field Installations Manager, Doors & Hardware is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all installation projects. The role ensures that all projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with industry quality standards and client expectations.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on leadership, deep technical expertise, and strategic insight to develop a high-performing team culture focused on growth, accountability, and excellence.
Some of the work you will do, but not limited to:
Manage site crews--including Forepersons, Technicians, and Subcontractors--across all projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to industry quality standards.
Provide hands-on leadership, training, and mentorship to installation teams to ensure efficient and high-quality project execution.
Strategically plan and schedule site crews, allocating resources effectively to meet project timelines and objectives.Communicate with General Contractors, proactively addressing job site concerns and create a collaborative working relationships with the sites and General Contractors.
Monitor project expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints and financial targets.
Enforce strict adherence to health and safety protocols across all job sites, promoting a safe working environment.
Collaborate with Directors and Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle to resolve challenges and drive successful outcomes.
Hold all site personnel (ex. Forepersons, Technicians, Sub-Contractors, etc.) accountable for their roles, responsibilities, and performance standards to ensure project success.
Ensure Forepersons and Technicians input accurate and timely data into Fieldwire, enabling seamless compilation and formatting by UCH Project Data personnel.
Partner with the Director of Installations and Field Coordinators to allocate tools, materials, and safety gear appropriately, while maintaining accurate inventory records of all company-owned assets.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE LIKE YOU WHO HAS:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is an asset but not required.
5 - 7 years of hands-on experience in door and hardware installation or finishing carpentry
5 - 7 years of experience in field supervision and project delivery.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams across multiple job sites with proven supervisory and leadership skills.
In-depth knowledge of doors, frames, and architectural hardware systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all UCH divisions and with clients.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, schedules, and work plans.
Ability to understand and apply industry specifications, building codes, and regulatory guidelines.
Proactive and resourceful in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions
Skilled in forecasting, scheduling, and allocating field personnel across multiple concurrent projects.
