People will count on your savvy internet research skills to find the pricing of items, ultimately leading to an effortless customer experience.This field role will support Newfoundland & Labrador.What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do Here:

  • Responsible for the evaluation and appraisal of damaged or lost residential and/or commercial office contents.
  • Provide quality service, ensuring prompt, equitable settlement of content losses, in line with corporate policies, procedures and standards.
  • Reviews schedule of loss for items claimed. Ensures completeness of documentation, to allow for accurate pricing of the replacement cost for item(s) claimed.
  • Provides completed schedule of loss, reflecting fair settlement offer to be made.
  • Conducts pricing comparisons, using web-based and other resources to determine the replacement cost of damaged/lost items.
  • Identifies appropriate vendor for replacement of item(s) of like kind/quality.
  • Determines Actual Cash Value of item(s) being claimed by applying the appropriate depreciation to reflect use and age of item(s).
  • Maintains effective communication channels with vendors and other internal claims staff.
  • Collaborate with adjusters and customers on file management and settlement of the content portion of the claims in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide proactive communication with various stakeholders.
  • Record, monitor and update the list of contents.
What you bring to the table:
  • Prior claims experience is an asset.
  • Prior experiencing using Exclaim software is an asset.
  • University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent investigation and researching abilities.
  • Adaptable and agile in a rapidly evolving business.
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment while also having the ability to work autonomously.
  • A forward thinker and able to foster new ideas.
  • An agile work ethic, takes initiative and exercises independent thinking.
  • Superior organizational skills, results-driven and able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Ability to learn and quickly adapt to new and changing technology.
  • Have a valid driver\'s licence and a good driving record.
  • Be able to travel on short notice.
