Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for procurement of goods and services for Greenfire Resources Demo location
Review, evaluate, and action Purchase Requisitions for proper authorization, specifications, and timely delivery
Source suppliers and materials
Obtain quotes from suppliers for pricing and lead-times
Negotiate price, delivery, and other special terms with suppliers
Prepare and issue Purchase Orders to suppliers using best practices in order to meet project/site requirements
Maintain effective supplier relationships to ensure continuous flow of materials throughout the supply chain
Take responsibility to ensure on-time delivery through collaboration with all departments
Minimize excess and obsolete inventory
Work with suppliers towards continuous improvement of quality, cost, and delivery lead-times
Work closely with all departments to understand procurement needs regarding materials/equipment forecasting, pre-planning plant and field maintenance projects, process bid packages, scope of work requests and material contracts.
Shipping, receiving & distribution operations as required.
Negotiating and distributing Master Service Agreements with suppliers
Maintaining vendor files and monitoring validity of insurance and legal documentation
Coordinating with accounts payable regarding invoicing, payments and account reconciliations
Annual and project-based budgeting and cost reporting
Managing warehouse consumable inventory levels
Material pick-ups from supplier locations
Performs other duties and special projects as required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILL SET:
Minimum grade 12 diploma
Proficient in office 360 and SharePoint
Knowledge of Maximo and related apps would be an asset
SCM experience preferred, related experience will be considered
Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills required. Must be capable of working under minimal and/or no supervision, and able to resolve problems independently
Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license (a driver's abstract is required)
The ability to operate equipment, such as forklifts, lift - reach trucks/lifts, pallet jacks, and other job-related equipment would be an asset
Strong interpersonal skills are required to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
