POSITION: Linepeson Labourer LOCATION: Various Saskatchewan locations JOB TYPE: Full-time, 10 hr shifts, 14/7 schedule Adanac Telecom Ltd. is a metis owned and operated business looking to add motivated new workers to our team! We are seeking an aerial & under ground Fibre Optic Technician. The individual shall be responsible for day to day operation of the bucket truck. We are willing to train the right individual. A career with Adanac Telecom Ltd. does require travel. The position includes, but not limited to:
- Daily completion of the required safety documentation and ensure all tasks are always completed in a safe and professional manner.
- Follow and understand safe work practices and procedures in relation to fibre optic installation, construction, and bucket truck operations.
- Take direction and perform tasks with minimum supervision.
- Read engineered drawings and specifications to perform work.
- Determine materials required for each job and able to effectively plan task sequence.
- Communicate effectively, professionally and demonstrate a strong customer service focus in all interactions.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and as the need arises perform minor repairs to equipment.
- General housekeeping duties
- Safety mindset. Safe production is essential!
- Previous bucket truck or other related industrial experience preferred
- Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s licence with a clean drivers record
- Class 5 with Air Endorsment is required.
- Safety certifications preferred: Fall Protection & Aerial Lift required, First Aid/CPR, & CSTS is considered an asset.
- Experience working outside in all types of weather conditions.
- Mechanical inclination is an asset.
- Ability to listen and take direction with positive, can-do attitude.
- Clean criminal record check.
- Able to work as part of a team, and individually when required
