Position Summary
We are seeking a
Fiberglass Laminator
to join our production team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for producing fiberglass components using lamination techniques, gel coating, trimming, assembly, and installing fittings. This is a permanent, full-time position with guaranteed weekly hours and growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Gel coating:
Apply gelcoat to molds using spray equipment to create smooth and durable surfaces.
Laminating:
Hand-laminate fiberglass materials and resins into molds according to specifications and quality standards.
Trimming:
Trim and finish fiberglass parts with cutting tools, grinders, and sanders to achieve precise dimensions and smooth edges.
Assembly & Fittings:
Assemble fiberglass parts and install hardware, fittings, and accessories as needed.
Mold Preparation:
Clean, wax, and prepare molds to ensure optimal quality and release of finished parts.
Material Handling:
Safely lift and move tools, molds, and products weighing up to 50 lbs.
Safety & Housekeeping:
Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all health and safety protocols in a noisy, dusty environment.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet specifications before moving to the next stage.
Qualifications
Previous experience in fiberglass lamination or related manufacturing preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
Ability to work safely in a noisy, dusty industrial environment
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physical tasks
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Team player with good communication skills
Must be punctual and dependable
