Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) interested in pursuing a long-term career in fertility nursing. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver nursing care to patients undergoing fertility treatments, including medication administration, intrauterine insemination (IUI) procedures, and patient education regarding medications
Conduct fertility-related assessments such as focused transvaginal ultrasound monitoring (utilising 3D imaging technology) and venipuncture
Develop specialised technical skills involving laboratory sample processing (semen and blood), as well as operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment
Provide emotional support and counselling to patients throughout the fertility treatment process
Engage in continuous professional development to enhance expertise in the evolving field of fertility care. Self-directed learning is fundamental to success in the role.
Ensure precise documentation of patient records, protocol forms, and nursing notes
Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment, adhering strictly to infection control protocols and industry best practices

Qualifications:
Current registration as an RPN in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Active annual membership with RPNAO
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or willingness to obtain
Previous fertility nursing experience is not required; however, the ideal candidate must demonstrate a commitment to learning and adaptability
Venipuncture experience preferred, but willingness to learn is essential
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple priorities and maintaining accuracy
Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated empathy
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Consistent work attendance record
