We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Indian cuisine, food safety and handling practices, along with experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or food service environment. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock is low.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while handling food and operating kitchen equipment.
Experience
Previous experience in a cooking or food preparation role within the food industry is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques and methods is advantageous.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are important for success in this role.
