About Us

We are a fashion trading company with a retail store and wholesale operation that specializes in well-crafted fashion and fun, innovative goods and accessories -- mainly from Japan and Canada, and some from Europe. All of our products are carefully selected, and many of them are good for us and for the earth.

Our team consists of 3 full-time and 2 part-time members. If you are only looking for a simple sales position, this is not the right place. Each of us has different responsibilities, and every role is essential to the company. One important responsibility we all share is to warmly welcome customers and provide them with a special shopping experience -- this is always our top priority during store hours. Outside of that, especially on weekdays when the store is quieter, each member focuses on their assigned role.

For this position, your main focus will be

Digital Marketing

. This role is shared by two people, and responsibilities will be divided based on each member's strengths.

Responsibilities

Provide in-store customer service: learn about the background of our products, share with customers, and create a safe and enjoyable shopping experience Join weekly meetings to review metrics, plan initiatives, and shape our long-term direction together Create photos and videos with our store's unique perspective, then post on social media to build engagement and grow our fan base Shoot photos and videos for the website to create clear and attractive product pages Enter new arrivals and update existing products on the online store Work on SEO updates to reach more customers At the beginning of each shift, walk through the store, check displays, tidy, and clean to ensure products are presented beautifully Handle cash and credit card transactions Update/maintain the website and online store when the regular website manager is away Research other social media accounts to learn from inspiring content Administrative tasks such as data entry, issuing invoices, and preparing sales/purchase orders Arrange shipments Daily record-keeping, reporting, and analysis (If you have graphic design skills that fit our store's taste, you may also eventually be entrusted with creating newsletters)

Qualifications

Passion for fashion and a genuine desire to build a career in it A strong sense of personal taste that aligns with our store's taste (very important for both you and us) Enjoyment of customer service and the joy of selling what you truly love Excitement for creating social media content and contributing to our digital presence Ability to focus on what we should express as a store, without being overly influenced by outside reactions or trends Motivation to grow our website's potential Positive attitude (people often describe you as optimistic) A sense of fulfillment in helping others Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team Honest and clear communication skills Computer skills (Microsoft Office, especially Excel) Organizational and time management ability Business English (reading, writing, and telephone communication) Must be available and willing to work weekends

Nice to Have

Knowledge of e-commerce and digital marketing Artistic / graphic design skills Japanese language ability (highly valued)

Additional Information

Wage depending on experience, reviewed periodically Preferably a permanent resident Individual who can commit long term This position will start as part-time (3-4 days/week), but there is a possibility of becoming full-time in the future as our team continues to grow Opportunity to learn many aspects of running a fashion retail/wholesale business

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
