When it comes to environmental consulting, we\xe2\x80\x99re focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve tomorrow. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a contract administrator for the construction of a contaminated mine water treatment plant near the Town of Faro, Yukon, Canada. Jacobs has designed the Permanent Water Treatment Plant (PWTP),a key part of the Faro Mine Remediation Project, for the Government of Canada and will serve as the Engineer of Record (EoR) during construction. Jacobs\xe2\x80\x99 primary role consists of field reviews, quality assurance, responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, communicating with on-site stakeholders (contractor, Main construction manager, etc), and keeping the EoR\xe2\x80\x99s informed. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also report and work closely with the Jacobs\xe2\x80\x99 field team to: manage documentation and ensure timely upload and responses, manage the team SharePoint site and ensure folder structures/document control is up to date and concise, as well as . maintain and manage documentation logs for RFIs, submittals, and other construction related documents.
The expectation is that work will start in March 2024 with design team discussions and project documentation familiarization and will continue to October 2024 when the construction season ends. This will be a one-year flex contract position. This role has the option of extending into future construction seasons. The contract administrator can work remotely but being based in Whitehorse is an asset if occasional trips to the site are required.
Please note: This position allows you to work remotely (ideally in Pacific or Mountain time zone to align to site hours) or relocate to Whitehorse to work in the Jacobs Whitehorse office.
