Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Farm Laborer to join our agricultural team. This role involves hands-on work in crop cultivation, maintenance, and farm operations. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, reliable, and eager to contribute to the successful running of our farm. Prior experience in horticulture or farm machinery is a plus but not required; training will be provided for essential tasks. This position offers an opportunity to develop practical skills in farming and equipment maintenance within a supportive environment.

Duties

Assist with planting, watering, and harvesting crops using appropriate tools and machinery Operate farm equipment such as tractors, tillers, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently Perform routine maintenance on farm machinery and tools to ensure proper functioning Use hand tools and power tools for various tasks including pruning, repairing fencing, or building structures Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution across fields Conduct general farm upkeep including cleaning, organizing supplies, and maintaining pathways Assist with heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or harvested crops as needed Follow safety protocols during all farm activities to prevent accidents or injuries

Requirements

Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely Mechanical knowledge or experience with farm machinery is advantageous Familiarity with irrigation systems, horticulture practices, and general maintenance is preferred Basic math skills for measuring and calculating quantities or areas Experience with hand tools and power tools for repairs and construction tasks Strong work ethic with reliability and attention to detail Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods Physical stamina to handle strenuous activities throughout the workday
