Family School Liaison Worker

Two Hills Mennonite School

commencing immediately.




Two Hills Mennonite School, located in Two Hills, Alberta, is a K to Grade 12 school with approximately 455 students. The schoolhas a population primarily consisting of Old Colony Mennonite students with English as their second language. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with a unique cultural group and willing to work within the expectations of the culture.


As a member of the Student Services team, the Family School Liaison Worker will collaborate with division staff, school-based staff and community service providers to promote mental wellness and support the emotional development of students.


Responsibilities:



Provide supportive informal counselling and crisis intervention Facilitate group programs and classroom presentations Liaise with families, school staff and community agencies Coordinate referrals to community support services Maintain written records of services provided/case notes Participate in professional development and team meetings

Qualifications:



A degree/diploma in Human Services Understanding of child and youth mental health, belief in a strength-based and solution focused approach Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills Strong organizational and time management skills
