Single Mothers' Services is looking for an individual to support single moms from across Metro Vancouver 1-1 over phone, email, text and in person to help them connect with community resources and supports.


What you'll be doing:




Support moms 1-1 from community who reach out in need of resources; find meaningful supports and follow up by email Provide check in and follow up for 1-1 clients Keep stats and provide monthly reporting Do referrals to single moms support groups, using Sharepoint and Excel to track Update and maintain the referrals list, contact moms who need 1-1 support Support creation and distribution of our monthly newsletter Support larger program initiative such as holiday hamper sponsorship, holiday dinner, professional development days, single moms conference Help set up and host online and in person workshops in different locations across Metro Vancouver Complete a visit each month to one of our single moms peer support groups Develop resources or curriculum that can be used in group visit Coordinate and distribute donations and tickets, health and fitness passes Community outreach- connect with community agencies to share about services Collect and collate feedback from recipients for participants Update spreadsheets, email lists and client info Other duties as required

What you'll need:




Strong computer skills- MS Office, including Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint, OneDrive Strong Excel skills including setting up and updating documents to track both financial and client information Excellent written and verbal communication Excellent knowledge of community resources across Metro Vancouver Knowledge of unique challenges faced by single mothers Compassionate, empathetic, empowering approach toward clients Familiar with trauma-informed approach Ability to be at different sites for special events like workshops, bursary winner dinners, team meetings, including occasional evening and weekends Ability to work well independently and without supervision; strong goal setting, organization, personal accountability and time management are key A valid clear criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) is required.
