Job Description
Training Wheels Family Resource Centre is currently accepting applications for Family Resource Worker for the communities of Springdale/South Brook. We provide early childhood programming for families with young children ages 0-6 years. This permanent position is subject to a three month probationary period.
Requirements/Qualifications
Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, Social Sciences, Community Studies or a combination of training and experience.
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
Current Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerability Sector Check/Court Check.
Self-motivated person with demonstrated excellent communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, empathize and be non-judgemental.
Ability to interact successfully with families, staff and community partners.
Responsibilities
Facilitate group sessions in both Springdale and South Brook.
Work with families to identify and assess their needs.
Promote programs through social media and community outreach.
Organize and facilitate parent learning opportunities.
Compile statistical and activity reports, and complete project evaluations.
Partner with community organizations and resources.
Foster a safe, relaxed and healthy environment for program participants.
Promote the philosophies of the Family Resource Centre within the communities.
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
