Family Medicine Physicians with experience and/or interest in Oncology care.Our client in PEI is looking for individuals to join the collegial, multi-disciplinary team within the Provincial Oncology program. Family Medicine physicians play an essential role in providing direct patient care with responsibilities including the delivery of facility based in-patient care and community-based oncology treatment. The physicians work closely with specialist colleagues in both Medical and Radiation Oncology through each phase of a patient\'s journey with malignancy.Hours of WorkTypical business hours Monday-Friday with occasional after-hours work required.Positions require participation in Provincial Oncology on-call schedule with specialist back-up.RemunerationFamily Medicine Physician - Oncology will have a choice of pay modality for this work: salary, contract-for-services or fee for service.Salary Pay ModelHourly Rate: Hourly rate + 31% of approved shadow billings.Hours: up to 37.5 hours/week, 1950 hours/year. *prorated for part-time.Vacation: 4-6 weeks/year depending on experience. *prorated for part-time.Sick: 11.25 hours/month for each continuous month of service.CME: Up to 75 hours per year and $5000 per year (for 0.6FTE or higher).RRSP Contributions: Yes.Group Insurance Benefits: Yes.Contract for ServicesHourly Rate: Hourly rate + 31% of approved shadow billings.Hours: up to 1725 per year - can be divided by physicians as they like.Vacation: Unpaid - Physician directed.Sick: Unpaid - Physician directed.CME: Funding available through MSPEI.RRSP Contributions: Not applicable.Group Insurance Benefits: Not applicable.Fee for ServiceHourly Rate: Billing as per the tariffHours: Physician directed.Vacation: Unpaid - Physician directed.Sick: Unpaid - Physician directed.CME: Funding available through MSPEI.RRSP Contributions: Not applicable.Group Insurance Benefits: Not applicable.Charts and support staff: Responsibility of the physician.Facility-based inpatient oncology care at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on weekends and holidays as part of physician shared call schedule. This is considered outside regular salaried or contract-for-service hours and is paid on a fee-for-service basis.Additional information related to blended payments (shadow billings); on-call payments; salary benefits including paid vacation entitlements, CME funding, RRSP program can be provided.IncentivesOpportunity to teach Medical Learners and Residents with faculty appointment at affiliated universities.Hospital-based electronic health record system with access to diagnostic reports.Other incentives may be applicable, ask for additional details.Certifications and Eligibility RequirementsEligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Prince Edward Island;Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada;Hold MCCQE Part I or Licentiate of Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) equivalent;Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA);Work experience preferable with at least 1- 2 years of clinical experience working in Canada.Experience and/or training in the general care of Oncology patients.Interested and qualified candidates, please submit their resume and cover letter to:Rohini Patel
