Family Medicine/EMG PEIOur client is seeking Family Medicine Physicians who will provide services which may include shifts in a Rural Hospital Emergency Department, inpatient rounds and on-call coverage and work in community-based clinics.This position will provide coverage in one of the two rural counties in the province.Prince County and Kings CountyHours of WorkOffice hours can be full or part-time, Monday-Friday up to a maximum of 37.5 hours/week.Evening clinic hours may be available depending upon health system need.Emergency Department shifts, In-patient coverage and unaffiliated patient clinics will fluctuate and will be mutually agreed upon between the Rural Acute Care Physician and Medical Director.RemunerationThe Physician will have a choice of pay modality for Primary Care work: salary, contract-for-services or fee for service.Salary Pay ModelHourly Rate: Hourly rate + 31% of approved shadow billings.Hours per week: 37.5 hours/week, 1950 hours/year. *prorated for part-time.Vacation: 4-6 weeks/year depending on experience. *prorated for part-time.Sick: 11.25 hours/month for each continuous month of service.CME: Up to 75 hours per year and $5000 per year (for 0.6FTE or higher).Pension: Yes.Group Insurance Benefits: Yes.Contract for ServicesHourly Rate: Hourly rate + 31% of approved shadow billings.Hours per week: 1725 per year - can be divided by physicians as they like.Vacation: Unpaid - Physician directed.Sick: Unpaid - Physician directed.CME: Funding available through MSPEI.Pension: Not applicable.Group Insurance Benefits: Not applicable.Fee for ServiceHourly Rate: Billing as per the tariffHours per week: Physician directed.Vacation: Unpaid - Physician directed.Sick: Unpaid - Physician directed.CME: Funding available through MSPEI.Pension: Not applicable.Group Insurance Benefits: Not applicable.Charts and support staff: Responsibility of the physician.Inpatient care and Emergency Department shifts are considered outside regular salaried or contract-for-service hours and are paid on a fee-for-service basis and sessional hours respectively.Additional information related to blended payments (shadow billings); on-call payments; salary benefits including paid vacation entitlements, CME funding, RRSP program can be provided.IncentivesReturn-in-Service Incentive and eligible Moving Expense reimbursements are available.Opportunity to teach Medical Learners and Residents with faculty appointment at affiliated universities.Community and Hospital-based electronic health record system with access to diagnostic reports available.Other incentives may be applicable, ask for additional details.Certifications and Eligibility RequirementsEligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Prince Edward Island;Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada;Hold MCCQE Part I or Licentiate of Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) equivalent;Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA);Work experience preferable with at least 1- 2 years of clinical experience working in Canada.Interested and qualified candidates, please submit their resume and cover letter to:Rohini Patel
