About This Opportunity

Hatchet Lake Medical Clinic is seeking a full-time Family Physician to join their team. This clinic is located in Brookside, with a short commute to Downtown Halifax. There are three other family physicians and one nurse practitioner at the clinic. The physician will enjoy working in this collaborative clinic with large spaces and have access to two examining rooms. There will be no evening or weekend call. The low overhead covers all office expenses and the space is fully furnished. The compensation structure for this full-time position is fee-for-service.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
  • Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners\'
  • Act as a patient\'s advocate
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements

  • Eligible for Licensure with the
