Summary

We are seeking a Family Lawyer/Civil Litigator to join our dynamic team at Vakili Law Group PC. You must be a self starter that is capcable of working independently and in a team environment. This individual will have carriage of his/her own files but will also work with senior counsel in a wide variety of interesting and complex commercial litigation files. The successful candidate must also have court experience (motions, conferences, questioning, mediation, trials, etc.).

Responsibilities

Candidate will have carriage of family law files and civil litigation files and must be able to manage files independently with little supervision. Provide legal advice and representation in family law cases including divorce, child custody, and support matters. Provide legal advice and representation in civil litigation cases and have a deep understanding of the rules of civil procedure. Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements with precision. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems. Advanced research skills using Lexis Nexis are required to support case strategies and arguments. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law regulations and practices. Communicate effectively with clients to explain complex legal concepts and processes.

Requirements

Minimum 4 years of Family Law Experience and/or Civil Litigation Experience Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in Ontario Strong skills in legal drafting, negotiation, and writing. Excellent research abilities using tools such as Lexis-Nexis. Demonstrated commitment to client service and achieving positive results.

Pay: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
