About the Role

We are seeking a

Guest Instructor

to lead our small-group

Family First Aid & CPR workshops

. These are non-certification classes designed for parents, caregivers, grandparents, and families who want to learn or refresh essential life-saving skills.

The workshops focus on infant and child first aid, choking, and CPR, along with hands-on practice in a supportive setting. Classes are offered approximately

one evening every 2 months (2.5 hours each)

, scheduled regularly throughout the year.

This is a

guest role

rather than a formal staff position, but you will be a valued part of our extended network of professionals who help us serve families.

Responsibilities

Teach engaging, hands-on Family First Aid & CPR workshops in a small group setting. Provide instruction in: Infant & child first aid basics Adult, child, and infant CPR Adult, child, and infant choking response AED use Create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for participants. Answer questions and ensure families leave feeling confident and empowered.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse, Paramedic, or equivalent healthcare background strongly preferred. Certified Canadian Red Cross CPR Instructor (or equivalent recognized certification). Extensive experience teaching CPR and first aid, particularly for infants and children. Excellent communication skills and ability to teach in a clear, approachable way. Passion for working with parents, caregivers, and families.

Pay: $75.00-$115.00 per hour
