Space Requirements

You must have your own home you own or rent with landlord permission.

We understand the higher cost and space limitations usually found in these areas. Please review the core requirements of a dayhome space below to ensure you have a suitable space.

Reasonable space for playroom, preferably within sight of the kitchen.

Lots of natural light, preferably above ground level or in a walkout basement

Suitable safe plan for sleeping areas.

A fenced in outdoor play space or a safe outdoor play space easy to get to with 6 kids daily. Walking only.

Activity and eating space with child appropriate table and seating.

Home must be in good repair and be able to pass a safety inspection.

Personal/Professional Requirements:

Level 2 Early Childhood Educator Certificate at a minimum. Preferably Level 3, however, for amazing passionate people we are happy to offer extra support and training for Educators with a level 2 and in some cases level 1 Certificates with over 3 years of childcare experience. Active First Aid Certificate Police check no older than 6 months for you and all adults residing in the home (this can be attained during the on boarding process) A love of caring for children's physical, mental and emotional well being and helping them learn, grow and feel safe and secure Ability to clearly communicate to children, parents and agency staff. This includes written and verbal communication. A willingness to learn and try new things Ability to market your business with guidance/training
You will be operating as your own business, which means saving on taxes, opportunity to make much more income, but also more responsibility. However, unlike other businesses, you have the full support of the agency and staff who have a lot of experience operating childcare and other businesses.

What we do as an Agency:

Provide full systems in order to follow regulations but also in operations and curriculum guidance if needed.

Full support in situations you are unsure on how to handle, including fielding parent concerns and needs of children

Community of other educators to share experiences, gain support, and have fun in a collaborative culture of continuous learning!

If you would like to operate your own program with the full support of a team that has been operating private dayhomes for over 13 years and are progressive in our thinking, while still adhering to our policies, high standards, and government regulations, we would love to chat with you about your program and getting started.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $35,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
