Your Opportunity:

Located at the Strathmore AMH clinic and reporting to the Manager and Clinical Supervisor, we are seeking a Family Counselor. As part of a lively multi-disciplinary team, the clinician is responsible for providing a range of clinical services, including groups, to children, families, adults and seniors. Therapists are required to have experience with a variety of modalities including individual, family and group therapy. The therapist are required to make independent clinical decisions, within prescribed professional practice guidelines as well as to plan appropriate assessment and intervention modalities.

Description:

As a Family Counsellor, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up to clients and their families. You will also provide clinical focused consultation with other programs or community resources and acts as a liaison to develop and promote preventative health programs in the community. You will collaborate with other health care providers and community service providers to ensure a continuum of care in the community.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of master\'s degree in a health related field. Active or eligible for registration with applicable professional association or college. Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience facilitating groups and working with individuals across the lifespan. Experience operating as a primary therapist in a Community Addiction and Mental Health clinic. Demonstrated assessment, clinical formulation and risk assessment skills. Demonstrated leadership, organizational and clinical skills, coupled with the ability to be self directed, highly motivated and work effectively within a multi disciplinary team environment. Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of local and zone resources and experience working building collaborative relationships with community partners.
