Canoe Therapy is a collaborative, multidisciplinary pediatric clinic offering Speech-Language Pathology, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Counseling, and Behaviour Therapy. We take a family-centered approach, supporting the whole child in partnership with their caregivers, educators, and support networks.
About the Role
We are seeking a
Family Coordinator
who is personable, professional, and passionate about supporting both families and our therapy team. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and excels in both communication and organization. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring a collaborative, team-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Warmly welcome clients and visitors in person and by phone
Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients, gathering information and supporting intake
Coordinate appointment scheduling across multiple therapy disciplines
Match clients with appropriate therapists based on needs and availability
Navigate challenges with a calm, solutions-focused approach
Provide timely and accurate invoicing to clients
Manage and maintain electronic medical records (EMR); familiarity with Jane EMR is considered an asset.
Operate a multi-line phone system
Support the clinic with a variety of administrative duties
Qualifications
Experience in a similar administrative, client service, or healthcare role
Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a healthcare-related program (an asset)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Calm, positive, and professional demeanor
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Comfortable taking initiative and managing multiple responsibilities
Able to obtain a Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
Availability for flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays
