AdhMor Ltd. is an Oilfield Waste Management Company serving the Athabasca Oil Sands region south of Fort McMurray. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Facility Operator to join our team with an immediate start date.
The Facility Operator position is responsible for the day-to-day smooth and safe and customer service-oriented operations of oilfield and industrial waste treatment, processing, and water injection. The Operator will actively assist with standard operating procedures, hazard assessments, safety programs and environment protection. The candidate for this position will also be responsible for maintaining equipment and system, troubleshooting issues, and performing necessary repairs. This role requires a mechanical background and the ability to work with various industrial systems.
The Duties and Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
Responsible and accountable for the day to day operation of the facility.
Responsible for safe truck unloading and oilfield waste water handling procedures
Participating in in waste processing, shaker and centrifuge operations and solids treating.
Oversee ongoing water injection, filter changes and pump maintenance.
Conducting injection pump operations, testing and system operations.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and systems.
Ensuring that all corporate compliance programs are adhered to.
Submitting truck tickets summaries, daily plant checklists to the office.
Participate in the Health and Safety Management System.
Complete waste plant operations including any solids processing.
Following water injection SOP's and industry best practices to protect disposal well integrity.
Perform regular equipment inspections to identify potential mechanical concerns before they escalate to mechanical problems.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols
Assist in facility construction, facility upgrades and facility inspections when needed.
Qualifications
a high school diploma, general education diploma or equivalent experience.
Operational experience in waste injection disposal, processing, treatment and water injection would be very helpful.
Must have a valid divers licence.
Training in injection pumps, transfer pumps, repairs, shaker/ centrifuge and excavation equipment would be considered an asset.
Proven ability to demonstrate strong methods regarding all processes in the facility, including safety operations, oil treatment, waste processing and water disposal.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Current and valid safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid, Confined Space Entry, WHIMIS and TDG.
Must be able to lift heavy objects as required by the job.
A strong attention to detail, communication skills with the ability to work long hours in a physically demanding work environment.
Must be able to document daily work tasks and perform cross shift communications to maintain a smooth transfer of shift responsibilities.
