Tasks

Direct and control the operations of commercial facilities Identify customers' needs Prepare reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements Recommend products or services to customers Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs Direct the maintenance and repair of an establishment's machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff Resolve product and service related problems Organize and maintain inventory
