Sunny Point Resort is located on 84 acres of pristine lakefront in Parry Sound, Ontario. With cottages, lodges, and recreational facilities, we provide guests with a relaxing and comfortable vacation experience surrounded by nature. We are currently seeking a Facility Operations Manager to ensure efficient and safe operations of our resort facilities.

Job Types: Full-time

Hourly Wage: $48.50/hour

Working Hours: 30 hours/week

Working Address: 41 Sunny Point Rd, Parry Sound, ON P2A 2W8

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the daily operations and maintenance of resort facilities. Develop and oversee safety inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair schedules. Manage facility budgets, prepare related statistics and reports. Supervise service contracts and outsourced vendors (cleaning, security, landscaping, etc.). Coordinate construction, renovation, or expansion projects. Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance and support staff to ensure service quality and efficiency. Monitor energy consumption and implement cost-saving or sustainability initiatives. Ensure compliance with provincial health, safety, and building regulations. Respond promptly to guest and operational issues related to facilities, ensuring minimal disruption to resort services. Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, and oversee procurement as needed.

Skills

1. Education: College diploma or university degree in architecture, facility management, business administration, or a related field.

2. Experience: Minimum 3 years of work experience in facility operations, engineering management, or related supervisory/managerial role. Resort, hotel, or construction project experience is an asset.

3. Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and vendor coordination skills; knowledge of facility budgeting and safety management.

4. Language: English (verbal and written).
