As Facility Assistant II, you will be responsible for carrying out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operation of the grain facility.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Contributing to the movement of grain by loading/unloading shipments;
  • Collecting, testing, and recording grain samples;
  • Grain grading for canola, wheat, oats and barley;
  • Operating grain cleaners;
  • Handling and delivering crop input products;
  • Fertilizer inventory management and blending;
  • Regular facility maintenance & housekeeping;
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe & compliant working environment;
  • Performing exceptional customer service duties;
  • Other duties as required.
The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:
  • 2-3 years' experience in a general labour job, preferably in agricultural and/or farming;
  • Knowledge of hydraulic machinery & electrical an asset;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Basic computer skills
  • Effective team member and excellent customer service;
  • Class 5 driver's license;
  • Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.);
  • Ability to work within environment subject to dust and allergens;
  • Flexible work schedule.
