Our client is looking for someone to join their team as a Facilities Technician at one of their prominent locations in Richmond Hill in Ontario.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is a true Jack of all Trades and who prides themselves on being able to do a little bit of everything. If you are mechanically inclined, have electrical aptitude, know about HVAC and plumbing and can read blueprints and schematics, then this is the job for you.

This is a full time position with some flexibility to work varying schedules depending on business needs and overlap with other technicians. The occasional weekend or overnight repairs may be required and OT is available after 44 hours per week. Wage range is up to $38 per hour based on experience.

Benefits are included after 3 months of employment, RRSP plan, complimentary fitness membership and free on-site parking. You will also have the opportunity for ongoing training and you will be provided with a uniform.

This is a quality facility and someone who takes pride in doing a great job will be a huge asset. You will be responsible for ensuring all assets of the building are maintained in a safe and efficient manner. You will be troubleshooting and investigating any equipment and building malfunctions and outages and preparing service plans accordingly. You will be the point of contact to obtain third party quotes and direct work upon arrival and ensure completion and standard of quality is upheld. You will also make sure that you and anyone you direct will follow and adhere to all health and safety practices and procedures.

Required Qualifications :

-Minimum of 3 years experience in building or facilities maintenance

-High knowledge and understanding of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and Mechanical

-Strong troubleshooting capabilities

-Problem solving skills

-Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification and prior knowledge of pool operations is an asset

-Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

-Good communication skills (both verbal and written)

-Legally entitled to work in Canada
