Your Role:


We are seeking a skilled and versatile Facilities Technician with a Red Seal trade certification to support the maintenance and improvement of our facilities. This role requires a hands-on professional with expertise in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general building maintenance. The Facilities Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and functionality of our buildings, equipment, and infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Senior Maintenance Manager, this position is ideal for someone mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality results while working effectively with both internal teams and external suppliers.



Key Responsibilities

General Maintenance & Repairs

Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs across facilities. Carry out general building upkeep to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues quickly and effectively.

Preventative Maintenance

Execute preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled by the Senior Maintenance Manager. Inspect equipment, systems, and facilities to identify potential issues before they escalate. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

Facilities & Project Support

Assist with building upgrades, renovations, and installation projects. Support the setup and maintenance of site security systems and building infrastructure. Respond to and prioritize work requests in alignment with established workflows.

Quality & Collaboration

Deliver a high standard of workmanship in all tasks, ensuring durability and safety. Demonstrate strong attention to detail in repairs, installations, and documentation. Work effectively with internal stakeholders (operations, safety, leadership) and external suppliers/vendors to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies. Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions to maintain a safe workplace.

Who you are

Red Seal trade certified (Carpenter, Plumber, Electrician, or equivalent). Proven experience in general building maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work across multiple trades. Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finished work. Ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external suppliers/vendors. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Bonus Skills

Experience working with in maintenance tracking systems. Knowledge of LEAN or continuous improvement practices. Familiarity with site security systems and fleet maintenance.
