Fogo Island Inn is an initiative of Shorefast, whose mission is to build cultural and economic resilience on Fogo Island and promote community well-being by building and sharing new models of economic development. By \xe2\x80\x98holding on and reaching out\xe2\x80\x99, Shorefast works with hospitality, art, technology, business, and design to enhance and share the natural assets of place. The Facilities Systems Engineer, based on Fogo Island, will perform a variety of functions to support daily operations While working in a fast-paced environment, the incumbent will demonstrate a positive can-do attitude. The Facilities Systems Engineer will report to the Director of Facilities Maintenance. General Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Fogo Island Inn\xe2\x80\x99s facility systems including but not limited to water treatment, boilers, refrigeration, humidifiers, HRV\xe2\x80\x99s, hydronic solar system, laundry & kitchen equipment, and electrical distribution infrastructure. \xc2\xb7 Ensuring that a reliability-centered maintenance program and predictive asset management process are in place. \xc2\xb7 Developing standardized processes for prioritization, management, and testing of mechanical and electrical maintenance work including the management of critical maintenance documents, spare parts inventory, and all records and drawings. \xc2\xb7 Creating a culture of engagement and continuous learning among the workforce, developing and mentoring staff, and working toward the operation\xe2\x80\x99s goals and objectives. \xc2\xb7 Coordinating daily work activities for maintenance team members in conjunction with the Maintenance Team Lead. \xc2\xb7 Monitoring and troubleshooting the Fogo Island Inn\xe2\x80\x99s building management software. \xc2\xb7 Conducting constant monitoring and inspection of Fogo Island Inn Facilities Systems. \xc2\xb7 Preparing operating procedures for system equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate: \xc2\xb7 2nd or 3rd Class Power Engineering designation or equivalent from any Canadian Province \xc2\xb7 Valid Canadian driver\xe2\x80\x99s license is required \xc2\xb7 Accreditations in other trades considered an asset \xc2\xb7 Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing \xc2\xb7 Problem solving abilities \xc2\xb7 Great attention to detail \xc2\xb7 Positive, outgoing, ambitious, and energetic \xc2\xb7 Team player with a roll up your sleeves approach to getting the job done \xc2\xb7 A passion for small communities What we offer: \xc2\xb7 An engaged, highly supportive and collaborative environment \xc2\xb7 The opportunity to work and live in a thriving social entrepreneurship environment \xc2\xb7 A commitment to recruiting, promoting, and training qualified individuals at all levels within the organization Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year Benefits:
