Are you passionate about maintaining high standards in facility operations and ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment? Longo's is looking for a Facilities Specialist to support our stores and facilities across the organization. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Facilities, you'll play a key role in maintaining our buildings and equipment, supporting maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements--all while contributing to cost-effective operations and exceptional service delivery.

What you'll do:

Coordinate and execute preventative maintenance programs, ensuring Longo's facilities are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently Support emergency response efforts including power outages, equipment failures, and other urgent facility issues Manage vendor relationships and service contracts, ensuring quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness Conduct regular site evaluations and inspections, identifying and resolving deficiencies in a timely manner

o Maintain and update CMMS tools, documentation, and reporting systems for maintenance and project tracking o Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to implement quality and performance management practices, including vendor KPIs, scorecards, procedures, checklists, schedules, and QA audits

Support the development and execution of facility-related programs such as energy and waste management initiatives Assist in the preparation of business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and post-project evaluations Review and approve invoices, monitor utility costs, and track refrigerant losses and recycling programs Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards, promoting a culture of safety across all locations Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure timely and effective issue resolution

What we are looking for:

Post-secondary education in Mechanical, Building Sciences, or Electrical fields Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management or a related field Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, refrigeration, lighting, and fire protection Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Experience with AutoCAD and CMMS tools Understanding of food safety requirements in a retail environment Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Strong communication and customer service abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Valid Class G driver's license and willingness to travel regularly to store locations

Working Conditions:

Primarily office-based with regular travel to Longo's stores and facilities On-call availability required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays for emergency support Exposure to various facility environments and conditions during site visits and inspections
