One of our biggest clients is looking for a Facilities Engineer to work within their dependencies in Whitecourt, AB or Fox Creek, AB, Canada.

The field facilities engineer will execute brownfield modification projects at our client's wellpad sites, responsible for coordinating the completion of project engineering activities and deliverables in as well as overseeing the field execution of these projects. The facilities engineer will be the Management of Change owner for all assigned projects ensuring projects are executed in compliance with the client's MOC process.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the MOC Owner and/or Support execution of field wide initiative MOC's, infrastructure upgrades and rollouts, reliability/operability/efficiency improvement projects
  • Generate and execute single site MOC projects with client's MOC system of record
  • Assist with field troubleshooting and scoping. May arise from work orders, Operations request (through IOC or Field Ops) or request from Area FE's to clarify work orders or email requests
  • Assist team members with field MOC PSSR execution and completion when required
  • Facilitate weekly meetings between Engineering and Operations to ensure priority items are being worked and addressed.
  • Attend daily Operations meetings and provide updates as required/requested
  • Bring the maintenance activities (Work Orders) to the MOC Team to ensure work that meets MOC team criteria is logged in the MOC queue and managed through the area teams
  • Generate cost estimates and high-level scopes for Operations and/or stakeholders to make informed decisions to act on initiatives (MOC or maintenance)
  • Assist with field issues and investigations by gathering data, reviewing and compiling operating history and generating resulting reports for review
  • Work with team to provide coverage of projects when vacation or absences are required
Qualifications/Skills:
  • APEGGA EIT or P.Eng eligable
  • Knowledge of facilities design and construction
  • Construction and operation of upstream oil & gas surface facilities, including gas
pipelines, equipment, pumps, compressors, electrical, etc.
  • Knowledge of Industry safety and environmental regulations
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills with the ability to execute on-time
and on-budget
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience with CAD design preferred
  • Proven ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Must have a methodical and well-organized approach to the work environment and
the ability to work under tight deadlines

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's in a related engineering field
  • 8-15 years experience required
Work Schedule Details:
  • This is a hybrid position - worker will be working from home M/F, and working in the
office Tu/W/Th.
  • 9/80 schedule
  • Flexible hours
  • Opportunities for OT & weekend work
  • Most likely will have to make 1 trip to Calgary office every 6-8 weeks
-Candidate will have choice to choose between two field office locations as main site: FOXCREEK, ALBERTA, CAN or WHITECOURT, ALBERTA, CAN.
