Facilities Coordinator



We have an opportunity for a Facilities Coordinator to join our Facilities team in Burnaby based fully onsite at our office at Metrotown, reporting to the Director, Facilities Management. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for owning front desk reception duties, as well as assisting the office with various administrative tasks. You will ensure a great experience for our employees and visitors. Collaborating closely with internal teams and external vendors, you will help maintain world-class facility standards, drive operational excellence, and support a highly collaborative culture that values innovation, safety, and continuous improvement. Be a Contributor -- What You'll Do



Act as the "Face of Infoblox" for the People & Places team, overseeing the office and the reception desk Maintain the security and safety of the office Monitor badge access inventory for vendor/contractors and assist with maintaining a keen sense of security for the building Assist as key contributor to the Emergency Response Team (ERT) as part of the Facilities Department Ensure the timely and accurate delivery, packaging, receiving, and shipment duties of various materials and documents. Works with employees and vendors to resolve shipping and receiving matters and discrepancies Maintain regular maintenance and general upkeep throughout the facility to ensure a clean and safe working environment Handle weekly facilities for onboarding and offboarding, including setting up desks for new hires and clearing workstations for departing employees. Monitor office services including snacks, office supplies, catering, lunch orders Perform event coordination including trainings, All Bloxers Meetings, onsite and offsite group events, catering Support the Talent Acquisition and HR teams with onboarding, and new hire set up, the sustainability, environmental, and community awareness programs as well as the Facilities Team and employee base with various administrative tasks and initiatives Act as a key contributor to the expansion project by engaging with stakeholders, liaising with vendors, and supporting day-to-day project needs.

Be Prepared -- What You Bring



2-4 years front desk or other relevant experience is required Good computer and admin skills including with Microsoft Office, as well as familiarity with or readiness to learn programs such as Canva and Envoy Front Desk Security Sign System Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Some experience with Microsoft Teams audio-visual equipment or comfort to learn to operate and field questions Self-starter and self-motivated, not afraid to roll up your sleeves Seeks solutions to problems, anticipates needs, track record of high level of customer service Experienced in receiving visitors, multitasking, handling conflict Bachelor's degree

Be Successful -- Your Path



First 90 Days:

Immerse in our culture, connect with mentors (Blox Buddies), and map the systems and meet with key stakeholders that rely on your work. Discuss and create short/long term goals.


Six Months:



Establish technical foundations - Become comfortable with core DevOps tools ex: CI/CD pipelines, Git, K8s, Terraform, Jenkins etc. Strengthen understanding of cloud fundamentals. Build operational awareness - Gain familiarity with team's infrastructure, monitoring tools, can troubleshoot common issues. Contribute to documentation (runbooks, onboarding guides, pipeline instructions).

One Year:



Become proficient in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm). Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple services. Deeply understand container orchestration (Kubernetes clusters, scaling, networking). Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging best practices. Identify bottlenecks and proactively improve system performance. Automate manual processes across deployment, scaling, and incident response. Contribute to cost optimization and security hardening in cloud environments.
