Responsibilities

Cutting, shaping, and joining metal components to create or repair structures, equipment, or parts Repair aircraft components in accordance with manufacturer's specifications Read and interpret drawings and technical data Perform work safely in accordance with industry and company standards Operate basic hand tools, powered hand tools, and equipment such as drills, saws, grinders, sheet metal brakes, shears, tube benders etc. Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers Perform housekeeping duties Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Experience & Qualifications

A combination of technical skills, including various welding techniques and experience with other metal working equipment and processes Must have TIG experience on aluminum, stainless steel, nickel and alloy steels Must have successfully completed at least one technical training period for this trade High degree of mechanical aptitude Proactive approach to problem solving Able to work independently and as a part of a team Attention to detail Knowledge and respect of shop safety Forklift experience an asset
Schedule: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday
