Fabrication Welders - Journeyman or 3rd year Apprentice
Our busy customer is looking to add a Fabrication Welder (Journeyman or 3rd year Apprentice) to their team. No pressure tickets required. This is a fab shop, not a production shop, so the applicant must be extremely skilled in custom fabrication. Proficient in all processes including GMAW, SMAW, GTAW and aluminum spool experience. The successful candidate will need to provide their own hand tools. The shift for this position will run 8am -430pm Mon-Fri. No contractors, this is an employee position. Applicants from the Red Deer, Alberta and surrounding areas will be considered.Key RoleWelding in the fabrication shop and portable locations.Responsibilities

  • Complete work for custom fabrication
  • Follow all assigned drawings and instructions
  • Conduct all work in a safe and orderly manner
Competencies
  • Proficient in all processes including GMAW, SMAW, GTAW and aluminum spool experience
  • Proven experience with custom fabrication and equipment and various other tools/equipment: hand tools, shears, drill press, pedestal grinders
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Initiative
  • Understand and apply relevant math calculations
  • Ability to read and interpret welding designs, and welding process specifications
  • Teamwork
  • Attention to detail
Qualifications
  • Documented and Blue Book Program
  • Fabrication experiences a must
  • Valid CWB tickets
  • Exceptional oral and written English
Physical Requirements
  • Must possess a clean driver\xe2\x80\x99s abstract
  • Physically fit
  • Must reside in the Red Deer, Alberta region
