POSITION OVERVIEW

:

Under the guidance of the APC Supervisor, the position performs a variety of operator functions, which include manufacturing of high and low temperature material handling products, which are composed of a variety of fabric and composite materials.

QUALIFICATIONS

:Completion of High School. Completion of post-secondary education in woodworking or cabinet making is an asset.

RESPONSIBILITIES

:Responsible for setup and operating of fabrication equipment, for the fabrication of composite products. Reviewing and interpreting CAD drawings and blueprints for fabrication of different parts and finished good products. Compute and calculate dimensions, tolerances, and measures for layout of work product. Quality check product for accuracy of products and parts fabricated using different types of mechanical tools (vernier caliper, Certified tape measure, etc.). Responsible for reporting deviations from specifications and tolerances to the supervisor, to understand conformance standards. Responsible for training and moving to other areas within the department, as required to fill in or provide production assistance. Sets-up and organizes individual work area with designated supplies, forms and resources materials while always maintaining cleanliness.
