The Fabrication Assembler works as part of the Fabrication Team and is responsible for the assembly of a variety of metal enclosures and other metal components for OES Scoreboards. The Fabrication Assembler is also responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings to assess the materials needed for production. The Fabrication Assembler is required to use a variety of light and heavy machinery to make their necessary cuts and to assemble the fabricated components into complete units.
Summary of Major Accountabilities
Fabricate and assemble metal enclosures according to relevant production procedures and work instructions
Follow job lists and download required files from production database
Operate the plasma cutter and press brake and all other related machines
Install fabricated components into the final product(s)
Work closely with the Fabrication Lead to complete assigned tasks
Prepare fully assembled enclosure(s) for packing
Conduct final quality (QC) inspection of all enclosures according to related procedures
Adopt and practice Lean Manufacturing Concepts
Contribute to the maintenance of a safe, clean and organized shop
Notify lead of material issues and shortages
Perform all duties in accordance with health and safety work requirements
Any other relevant duties as assigned by the direct Supervisor and/or Scoreboards Manufacturing Manager
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Diploma in a related discipline is an asset
Background in Production environment is preferred
Strong knowledge of working with sheet metal and related manufacturing equipment
Basic knowledge of computer skills and Microsoft Office
Ability to read production documentation and instructions
Forklift driving license is an asset
